Dr. Beardsley grew up near Chicago, Illinois. He attended Illinois Wesleyan University and completed graduate work at Southern Illinois University. He received his dental degree from Emory University in Atlanta. After graduation, he entered the United States Air Force, serving as a general dentist for four years in Hawaii. From 1978-1980, he received post-doctoral training in prosthodontics (crown & bridge) at the Indiana University and continued to serve with the Air Force until 1998.

Since his retirement from the Air Force, Dr. Beardsley has been in private practice and has taught for 5 years in the Dental Hygiene programs at Middle Georgia Technical College and Central Georgia Technical College. Besides practicing here at Dental Associates, Dr. Beardsley still teaches in the Macon Dental Hygiene program and helps at a dental clinic in Perry.

In his spare time, Dr. Beardsley is busy at his church – he is a deacon, Sunday School administrator, a member of the praise band, and a leader in the AWANA program. He enjoys camping, golf, traveling, and time with his family. He has been married to Carol, his lovely wife, for thirty-nine years. They have two children – Matthew (25) and Rebecca (24).
